MLA Kangan seeks compensation for windstorm victims | KNO

Srinagar, May 19 (KNO): National Conference leader and MLA Kangan, Mian Mehar Ali on Monday urged the authorities to provide relief and compensation to the windstorm hit people in Kangan constituency. In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mehar Ali said, “The severe windstorm that struck different areas of Kangan constituency last night, caused considerable damage to residential homes.” The MLA Kangan called on the authorities to assess the damages and provide immediate relief to the sufferers. The MLA Kangan, according to the statement, spoke to Tehsildar Gund, Tehsildar Kangan and Tehsildar Lar. He sought compensation and effective rehabilitation for the sufferers. “Relief teams have already been deployed to assess the extent of the damage and provide aid,” the officials told the NC leader—(KNO)
